MOSCOW, September 10 - RIA Novosti. Doctors at the Stupino Hospital saved a man after receiving an electric shock of about 4 thousand volts, the Moscow Region Ministry of Health reported.

According to the report, a man was admitted by ambulance to the Stupino hospital in a state of coma, injured as a result of an electric shock with a voltage of about 4,000 volts. The patient was immediately taken to the anesthesiology and intensive care unit. During the examination, doctors determined that the discharge went straight through the brain.

“The patient was admitted with a clinical picture of cerebral edema, so we immediately transferred him to artificial ventilation and began intensive therapy to maintain vital functions of the body,” said Vyacheslav Rebenko, head of the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of the Stupino Hospital, whose words are quoted in the message.
