Medvedev called the protection of civilian objects from drones the most important task

Dmitry Medvedev said that protecting civilian objects from drone attacks is one of the most important tasks.

According to Medvedev, such protection is only possible with a combination of all components of anti-drone warfare, including electronic warfare, support from private developers of electronic warfare and interceptor drones, as well as mobile fire teams and army air defense.

Medvedev emphasized the importance of actively promoting new developments in the field of infrastructure protection.

Protecting civilian objects from drone attacks is the most important task and is only possible through a combination of all components of the anti-drone fight, said Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of the United Russia party and deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council.

“Protecting civilian objects from attacks by enemy drones is one of our most important tasks. Electronic warfare equipment is only part of the system that serves this. Moreover, they become outdated quite quickly, because the fight against drones is like a competition of sword and shield. Therefore, serious attention is paid to the development and improvement of all necessary air defense systems,” he said in an interview with the Vedomosti newspaper.

According to Medvedev, such work includes, in particular, support for private developers of electronic warfare equipment and interceptor drones. In addition, as the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council noted, there is the so-called passive protection of objects using material means, as well as mobile fire groups and army air defense at various positions. Medvedev emphasized that only a combination of all components can ensure full protection of civilian objects.
