The Moscow enterprise Doza will create a radiation monitoring system for the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant in Egypt

MOSCOW, August 21 – RIA Novosti. The Moscow scientific and production enterprise (SPE) "Doza" will create an automated radiation monitoring system for the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant (NPP) in Egypt, said Anatoly Garbuzov, minister of the capital's government, head of the city's investment and industrial policy department.

Thus, this system will provide continuous radiation monitoring in the premises of the nuclear power plant and on its territory.

“Thanks to the support of the city, Moscow manufacturers are expanding their capacity, developing new types of products and entering foreign markets. The participation of NPP Doza in the creation of a system for the El-Dabaa NPP is an example of how the competencies of capital enterprises are in demand when implementing large international projects in the nuclear energy industry,” the press service of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy quotes Garbuzov as saying.

He added that the company already has experience in creating radiation monitoring systems for nuclear power facilities in Russia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Bolivia and other countries.

To implement the full cycle of creating an automated radiation monitoring system for four nuclear power units, it takes an average of two to three years, the press service clarified. It includes the development of technical solutions, coordination of technical documentation, manufacturing of equipment, carrying out various levels of testing and deployment of the system at the nuclear power plant site and its phased delivery.

Moscow provides active support to the enterprise. NPP Doza has the status of an industrial complex and enjoys tax preferences provided for by the legislation of the capital. Also, the company, part of a research and production enterprise, last year became a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone. And with the assistance of the Moscow Fund for the Support of Industry and Entrepreneurship, Doza attracted an investment loan for the construction and equipment of new production facilities.
