A Chinese detachment of ships with cadets arrived in Vladivostok

A detachment of ships of the naval forces of the People's Liberation Army of China, consisting of the training ship "Qi Jiguang" and the landing ship "Kunlunshan" with cadets from naval educational institutions of the People's Republic of China, arrived at the main base of the Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok on a business call, the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet reports.

At the pier, guests were greeted with bread and salt. Head of the Pacific Higher Naval School named after S.O. Makarov, Rear Admiral Sergei Sobokar, in his welcoming speech, noted the development of friendly ties and close interaction between military sailors of Russia and China. The commander of a detachment of PLA Navy ships, Senior Captain 1st Rank Xu Jianguo, drew attention to the practical development of naval cooperation between the navies of the two countries.

The ships will stay in Vladivostok until June 27. Cultural and sports events have been organized for sailors, and it is planned to exchange experiences with Pacific Fleet servicemen.
