National Central University holds national defense science and technology forum focusing on unmanned vehicles and advanced materials

National Central University held the 115th annual "National Defense Science and Technology Forum" and invited experts from industry, government and academia to attend.

[Reporter Xie Wuxiong/Report from Taoyuan] In order to gather the energy of industry, government, academia, and R&D in science and technology, and expand advanced national defense science and technology research, the Ministry of National Defense today held the "115th Annual National Defense Science and Technology Forum" at the National Central University, inviting experts and scholars from Huwei University of Science and Technology, National Chung Cheng University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Kaohsiung University to serve as The keynote speaker shared the four major themes of "Autonomous Navigation and Positioning Technology in a GPS-Free Environment", "Unmanned Vehicle Cross-domain Communication Integration Technology", "Underwater Unmanned Vehicle Autonomous Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance Technology" and "Advanced Materials and Stealth Technology" to discuss the development trends and practical applications of related technologies.

The "115th Annual National Defense Science and Technology Forum" was co-hosted by General Chen Yizhi, deputy director of the Ministry of National Defense's Armament Administration, and Professor Xiao Shusan, president of Central University. Former Minister of National Defense Professor Yang Nianzu, Director of the Department of National Defense Integration Review Dr. Weng Sunweixin, Dr. Jiang Xingpiao of the Institute of National Defense Security, and Vice President of National Central University Professor Chen Wenyi served as moderators, guiding national military research units to have in-depth exchanges with experts from industry, academia, and research circles, and exploring the forward-looking development and application of defense science and technology from different aspects.

Xiao Shusan said that through this forum, industry, government and academia in the development of national defense science and technology can communicate with each other, and further strengthen the communication and cooperation platform between national defense research units and university research centers. He hopes that through the integration of cross-domain scientific and technological energy, we will continue to promote innovative cooperation, deepen the research and development of intelligent and unmanned defense technology, and lay a more solid foundation for independent research and development of national defense science and technology.
