The Sverdlovsk Regional Court held a debate on the criminal case of 42-year-old Natalia Guseva, accused of killing her three-year-old son. KP-Ekaterinburg writes about this.

The prosecutor requested 19 years in a general regime colony for her. After these words, the defendant burst into tears. “My son died in my arms for eight minutes! Why should I sit for 19 years?! I couldn’t even bury the child!” Guseva said.

She denies wrongdoing. According to her, her son stayed with his partner, a citizen of Tajikistan, while she went to the store. In her absence, the man caused injuries to the child that were incompatible with life. Lawyer Alexander Kozlov said that the evidence in favor of the woman was her phone, which confirmed that she was in the store and not at home when the crime was committed.

According to investigators, the boy was discharged from the hospital after breaking his hip. His mother beat him with her fists and then threw him on the floor. The child's liver was torn from the blow and a rib pierced his lung. He couldn't defend himself because he was in a cast.

Guseva gave birth to a son from her common-law husband, a native of Tajikistan, who left for his homeland, where he had a second family. After a while, Guseva moved in with his compatriot.

Her father stated at the trial that she was a good mother and practically did not punish the boy.
