The North City Party Headquarters of the Democratic Progressive Party has submitted a request to the central government for approval of the list of five people who have resigned from the party in violation of discipline and candidacy. Wu Peiyi calls on people to guard against wrong information.

Wu Peiyi called on the public to identify the candidates nominated by the Democratic Progressive Party to avoid being misled by wrong information or confusing propaganda.

The Taipei Municipal Councilor and Mayoral Elections will be held at the end of the year. The Taipei City Party Headquarters of the Democratic Progressive Party issued a solemn statement today. In accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the party's "Regulations on Nomination of Candidates for Public Offices", the list of five candidates who violated disciplines and resigned from the party to participate in the election has been officially announced. Reported to the Central Party Committee for review, those who violated disciplines included Chen Yijun and Zhu Zhengqi from Zhongshan and Datong. Chairman Wu Peiyi called on the public to identify the candidates nominated by the Democratic Progressive Party to avoid being misled by wrong information or confusing propaganda.

The Municipal Party Headquarters stated that the list submitted to the Central Party Headquarters this time includes Chen Yijun and Zhu Zhengqi from the 4th District (Zhongshan, Datong), 3 people from New Taipei City 3rd District (Xinzhuang) Jian Lihua; 2 people from the 6th District (Daan, Wenshan) Chen Chiying, and 1st District (Shilin, Beitou) Ji Jianhan.

Wu Peiyi pointed out that he has recently received reports from the public that some people who have been expelled have falsely used the DPP emblem and are suspected of claiming to have been nominated by the DPP. The Municipal Party Headquarters has convened a legal advisory group consultation meeting to conduct verification and evidence collection on relevant cases; if it is found to be true, legal action will be taken as soon as possible to prevent voters from being misled by wrong information.

Chen Yijun is a current councilor of a municipality directly under the Central Government, and the Municipal Party Committee has reported it to the Central Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Zhu Zhengqi was prosecuted for a Communist espionage case and was removed from the committee by resolution of the 5th session of the 21st Central Committee on May 13.

Wu Peiyi said that the two candidates who violated disciplines in Taipei City were both in the Zhongshan and Datong constituencies. Based on past election experience, this district wants all four members nominated by the Democratic Progressive Party to be elected. There is no room for splitting votes. There is concern that the public will be confused with information, resulting in the loss of votes.

Wu Peiyi emphasized that the Municipal Party Committee will not tolerate the fraudulent use of the party emblem, and will continue to strengthen the joint publicity of the four Zhongshan and Datong parliamentary candidates Lin Liangjun, Yan Ruofang, Lin Ziyang, and Lai Junhan, and the mayoral candidate Shen Boyang, calling on voters to identify the official nominee candidates of the DPP.
