Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to consider the issue of maintaining state support for the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far Eastern Federal District.

State support can be maintained if the number of indigenous peoples exceeds 50 thousand people; proposals must be submitted before December 1, 2026.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to consider the issue of maintaining state support for the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far Eastern Federal District by December 1, if their number exceeds 50 thousand people; the corresponding list of instructions is published on the Kremlin website.

It is clarified that Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following a meeting with representatives of indigenous peoples of Russia within the framework of the federal educational marathon "Knowledge. First", which took place on April 30, 2026.

“The Government of the Russian Federation should submit proposals: to maintain measures of state support for indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation if their number exceeds 50 thousand people,” says the list of instructions.
