The Moldovan government will consider denouncing the CIS agreement on combating human trafficking

The Government of Moldova intends to consider a draft law on the denunciation of the CIS agreement on cooperation in the fight against trafficking in people, organs and human tissues.

If the Cabinet of Ministers approves withdrawal from the agreement, the document will be sent for consideration by the parliament of the republic, and if approved, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will notify the Commonwealth Executive Committee of the denunciation of the agreement.

CHISINAU, September 5 - RIA Novosti. The Government of Moldova intends to consider a draft law to denounce the CIS agreement on cooperation in the fight against trafficking in people, organs and human tissues, as follows from the agenda of the next Cabinet meeting.

The agreement was concluded in Moscow on November 25, 2005. The bill on its termination is on the agenda of the meeting of the Moldovan government, which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 9.

If the Cabinet of Ministers approves withdrawal from the agreement, the document will be sent for consideration by the parliament of the republic. If approved by the legislative assembly in two readings, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will notify the Commonwealth Executive Committee of the denunciation of the agreement, and the law will come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
