One person dies and four are injured in a head-on collision at LMG-810, in MG

One person died and four were injured in a head-on collision between two cars. The accident occurred this Friday (4) on the LMG-810 highway, in Pirajuba.

The Military Highway Police were called at around 6:40 pm at km 18.5. The military found two injured people in one vehicle and three in the other.

One of the cars, which was pulling a trailer with a motorcycle, entered the opposite lane. The driver of the other car tried to avoid it, but both collided head-on.

Samu helped the victims to the Pirajuba Hospital Emergency Room. One of the injured people did not survive his injuries and was confirmed dead.

The body of the fatal victim was sent to the Uberaba IML. The section of the LMG-810 highway where the crash occurred has a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

According to the Military Highway Police (PMRv), the corporation was called at around 6:40 pm to respond to the incident at km 18.5 of the highway. Upon arriving at the scene, the military found two injured people in one of the vehicles and three others in the other car.

According to the record, one of the cars was pulling a trailer, on which there was a new motorcycle. The vehicle was traveling along LMG-810 when, at a certain point, it entered the opposite lane and faced the other car, which was coming in the opposite direction.

According to PMRv, the driver of the second car tried to avoid the crash by changing lanes. At the same moment, however, the first vehicle returned to the steering wheel itself. With both cars making simultaneous movements, the head-on collision ended up happening.

With the impact, both vehicles left the road and stopped on the side of the highway. The team marked the road to ensure the safety of other drivers during the service.

Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were at the scene and took the victims to the Pirajuba Hospital Emergency Room. The fatal victim, a 58-year-old woman, was also rescued, but, due to the severity of her injuries, she could not resist and was confirmed dead.

According to PMRv, until Friday night, the corporation was awaiting the arrival of Civil Police expertise. The hearse was also called to pick up the victim's body from the hospital and take it to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Uberaba.

In the record, PMRv also informed that the section where the accident occurred has a maximum regulated speed of 80 km/h. g1 asked whether the drivers were speeding above the permitted speed, but did not receive a response until the last update of the report.

The newsroom also questioned the Civil Police about the expert work and whether a police investigation was opened. In a note, the corporation informed that the circumstances of the accident will be investigated. To date, there have been no reports taken to the Police Station.
