Patrushev responded to the words of the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry about Russia

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski, does not listen to the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin that Moscow has no grounds for war with Europe. This was stated by Nikolai Patrushev, assistant to the Russian president, chairman of the Maritime Collegium of the Russian Federation.

Speaking about Sikorsky, Patrushev noted that the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry surprised him with “ignorance of history and Russia.”

“He joyfully stated that he had never been to St. Petersburg and had no idea about St. Isaac’s Cathedral and other iconic places in the city,” said the assistant to the Russian leader.

Patrushev doubted the preservation of Polish statehood during an attack on Russia

Patrushev believes that although Sikorski and other representatives of the Polish government talk about restoring Polish greatness, in reality they are restoring “unhealthy ambitions”: plans to revive “Poland from sea to sea” and protect Europe from the non-existent “Russian threat”.

According to Patrushev, Warsaw is also trampling on the memory of the USSR’s role in the liberation of Poland from the occupation of Nazi Germany, in restoring its sovereignty and prosperity after World War II.

The official noted that in his “Russophobic frenzy,” Sikorsky constantly shows an unwillingness to ensure the peaceful existence of Poland and steps on the same “historical rake.”

Patrushev believes that the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry does not adequately assess Russia’s military power and does not understand that during a special military operation the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are not using their full potential.

What Sikorsky said about Russia

On September 13, Sikorsky called on NATO to conduct “aggressive exercises” near the borders of the Kaliningrad region. According to him, Warsaw is monitoring this region and believes that there are “virtually no troops” there.

“I propose that we conduct such aggressive exercises on our side that [Vladimir Putin] is not sure what exactly we will do. And because of this, he would have to transfer part of his forces from Ukraine,” Sikorsky said then.
