Prisoner of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the Ukrainian military is taught almost nothing except digging trenches

MOSCOW, May 23 - RIA Novosti. When entering the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian military personnel are not taught anything, except for digging trenches, captured Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Artem Fomov, who surrendered to the Russian military grouping "Center" in the Pokrovsk region, said in a video from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“When I was detained, they put me on a bus and drove towards Vinnitsa. But it’s impossible to say specifically what they taught us, since we learned practically nothing, except to dig trenches, and there were several exits and shots. And so we spent more time running from forest to forest, overcoming obstacles and the like,” the prisoner shared his story.

He added that he ended up on the front line because the military registration and enlistment office of Ukraine did not want to give him a deferment to renew his documents.
