The defense of those convicted of a fatal fight with a football player appealed the verdict

The defense of several convicts who staged a fatal fight with 20-year-old football player Arseniy Eroshevich in Shchelkovo appealed the verdict. As RIA Novosti reports with reference to court materials at the agency's disposal, their appeals have already been submitted to the court.

It is clarified that one of the convicts, Zikrullo Kadirov, did not appeal the verdict. By court decision he received 11 years in prison.

As the court established, everything happened on August 17, 2025. Two convicts provoked a conflict with Eroshevich and his friend, who stood up for girls they knew in a bar in Shchelkovo. A fight broke out, in which the foreigners were supported by three more men. As a result, the football player was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries, but doctors were unable to save him.

A year later, the Shchelkovo court of the Moscow region sentenced four participants in the conflict to terms ranging from 8.5 to 11 years. The fifth defendant managed to avoid trial and went into hiding. He is on the international wanted list.
