Four people killed in mass shooting in St. Vincent

Four people have been killed in a mass shooting on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent. Four more received gunshot wounds and were hospitalized, the St Vincent Times newspaper reported.

The shooting happened around 10:30 pm on September 25 in the Green Hill area near the store. According to preliminary data, armed people drove up in a car and opened fire on the people who were there. Police confirmed the deaths of three men and one woman.

The four wounded were taken to the hospital and received the necessary assistance. Among the victims was a second-year student at the Community College of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident and establishing the motive for the crime.

In terms of death toll, this was the second mass shooting in the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. There were more casualties only in the shooting on July 19, 2023 in the Harbor Club area in Kingstown, when five people died.
