With the beautiful pastoral scenery, major blueberry bases in the county attract a large number of tourist groups and families to carry out picking, research and other activities.
In 2021, Mashan County will make a bold attempt to introduce the blueberry industry based on its ecological resource advantages, cultivating it as a regional leading industry, and scientifically deploy blueberry planting in suitable regions throughout the county. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the county has built 20 soil-grown blueberry bases with a total area of 2,329.54 acres.
Tanxun Blueberry Industrial Park in Sanhe Village, Linwei Town, Mashan County relies on blueberry cultivation as its core. It implements a three-dimensional interplanting and staggered maturity development model of characteristic forest fruits according to local conditions. It interplants a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables in the blueberry forest, and carefully creates a one-stop rural leisure and entertainment closed loop of "picking check-in + pastoral sightseeing + folk experience + farm food + specialty product selection" to transform the blueberry industry cluster effect into real consumption momentum.
"We have interplanted seasonal fruits and vegetables such as passion fruit, lotus root, egg fruit, cherry tomatoes, and beibei pumpkins in the blueberry base. In recent years, Mashan County has insisted on promoting production through festivals and revitalizing tourism through culture, promoting culture, sports and specialty industries to go hand in hand, injecting continuous vitality into rural revitalization.
During the blueberry ripening season, Mashan County organizes festivals such as the "Blueberry Music Festival" to combine picking experiences, folk performances and agricultural tourism, attracting a large number of surrounding tourists.
Recently, the 2026 Mashan County Blueberry Music Festival with the theme of "Better Life·Burning Mashan" was held at the Liumaitun Blueberry Base in Lixing Village, Baishan Town. The event deeply combined dynamic music with local blueberry elements to bring a music feast to the public. At the event site, the audience enjoyed the performance while tasting local fresh blueberry fruits and blueberry snacks.
The industry prospers and the people become rich. A small blueberry is driving the coordinated development of industries in Mashan County and injecting strong momentum into rural revitalization.
According to the relevant departments of Mashan County, as of December 2025, Mashan County's 20 large-field soil-grown blueberry planting bases have brought a total of 1,526 households with 4,832 people in the surrounding areas through land transfer, labor employment, etc., and the average annual household income has increased by more than 4,000 yuan.
