Ronaldinho joins Italian club Ravenna as a player and shareholder

Ronaldinho, world champion with Brazil in 2002 and winner of the Ballon d'Or in 2005, arrived in Italy to a large public reception, before he was officially presented during a ceremony held on a beach in the city of Ravenna, called "Ronaldinho Day", in the presence of thousands of fans.

The Brazilian star's relationship with the club is not limited to the sporting aspect, as he also became a shareholder in Ravenna, as part of a project aimed at developing the club and increasing its public and media presence, with the ambition of returning to the Italian second division.

Ronaldinho stressed during his presentation that he wanted to ignite the enthusiasm of his teammates and create an exceptional season. He also left the door open for his participation in the matches, indicating that scoring a new goal would be a wonderful thing, and that the final decision rests with the coach and the club management.

The most exciting goal in this comeback is Ronaldinho’s desire to score his 300th goal in his professional career with a Ravenna shirt, in an attempt to end his football career in an exceptional way.

But his return will not start from the first round, as the club confirmed that Ronaldinho will not participate in the opening match against Reggiana, while the date of his first official appearance has not been set yet.

Ronaldinho played his last professional match in 2015 for the Brazilian Fluminense shirt, before staying away from the field for years.
