The discussion of the candidacy of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, for dialogue with Russia sounds like a “history joke.” This was stated by former co-chairman of the International Peace Bureau Rainer Braun in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“If the situation were not so serious, I would say that it is even funny: the very people who do not want to talk to Russia at all are now thinking about who should be the mediator, and may propose Ms. Callas for this role. This is a real anecdote of history,” Brown said.

According to him, with its behavior, Europe has thrown itself to the sidelines and no longer plays a role in diplomatic processes.
