An 84-year-old man living alone in Japan moved into a paid elderly home because his daughter was worried about her safety. However, half a year later, because the institution oversaw daily affairs and lacked equal communication partners, he felt that his life was meaningless and lonely. However, he did not want to be a burden to his daughter and chose to stay in silence. This highlights that when choosing a long-term care institution, you need to consider both autonomy and social needs, rather than just safety and care.

A female tourist from Shanghai spent 30,000 yuan to hire 30 young men to form a "climbing group" and was carried to the top of Mount Tai in a princess hug throughout the entire journey without even touching the ground. After the video was exposed, it sparked heated discussions among netizens, and the Taishan Scenic Area subsequently implemented controls on behaviors such as "princess hugging" that affected safety. The report pointed out that in recent years, "accompanying climbing" services have shifted from basic physical assistance provided by college students to ambiguous customized services with "eight-pack abs athletes" and "handsome guys" as selling points. The price has soared from 200 yuan to 600-1,200 yuan.

The Taipei City Police’s surveillance vehicle data has been disclosed in detail, and criminals can check whether the license plate tracking is being monitored through the Internet. The Police Department has strengthened information security control, physical isolation and drills, and has amended the law to include illegally obtaining special vehicle information as an aggravated criminal liability, punishable by up to seven years in prison.

The Taipei City Urban Development Bureau installed a public art bus shelter called "Clustered Floating Island" in Muzha Park, Wenshan District. People nicknamed it "Rusty Mushroom" because of the rusty water dripping from the weather-resistant steel. As a result of the construction, there is no temporary bus shelter on one side, exposing people to the sun and rain; the joint between the grass planting and the weathering steel on the top of the mushroom cap is poorly waterproofed, which easily accumulates water and rust, contaminating the ground and threatening people's clothing and safety; lighting the grass at night increases maintenance costs and violates the principle of energy conservation. People questioned its earthquake resistance and maintenance responsibilities, and called for immediate demolition and conversion into ordinary bus shelters, following Kaohsiung City's approach to green mushrooms.

According to the Household Income and Expenditure Survey of the General Accounting Office, Taiwan's highest-income group and the lowest-income group have the largest gap in penetration rates of cars, home computers, and dehumidifiers, both exceeding 50 percentage points. However, the gap in penetration rates of color TVs, washing machines, mobile phones, and Internet-connected devices is extremely small. The lowest-income group's mobile phone and Internet penetration rates both exceed 90%, indicating that Taiwan is close to a digitally equal society, but advanced digital devices are still restricted by economic thresholds.
