China News Service, Urumqi, August 20 (Gou Jipeng, Wu Qi) Reporters learned from the Xinjiang Railway Department on the 20th that the number of China-Europe (Asia) trains passing through the Horgos Railway Port this year exceeded 6,000. So far, more than 59,000 China-Europe (Asia) trains have passed through this port.

Since the beginning of this year, Xinjiang's railway department has accelerated the promotion of international intermodal transport, smoothed port transport organizations, continuously improved cross-border transport efficiency, and promoted the high-quality operation of China-Europe (Asia) trains.

According to reports, in order to ensure the efficient passage of trains, Horgos Customs and the railway department have worked together to use intelligent map review, advance machine inspection and other technical means to enable trains to be "inspected as soon as they arrive and released after inspection", and the overall customs clearance time of the trains has been improved by more than 50%.

Cai Guangxu, deputy director of the Production Safety Command Center of Horgos Station of China Railway Urumqi Bureau Group Co., Ltd., said: "In view of the concentrated arrival period of the trains, we dynamically increase the capacity of shunting, freight, operation and other positions. At the same time, we work closely with the customs department to shorten the port clearance time to less than 30 minutes."

As of now, there are 91 China-Europe (Asia) train lines passing through the Horgos Railway Port, reaching 18 countries, 46 cities and regions, and transporting more than 200 types of goods.
