A key link in the work of the State Duma has been named

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin called the committees a key link in the legislative work of the lower house of parliament. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

On October 13, the State Duma adopted a resolution on the election of 80 first deputies and 85 deputy chairmen of committees. “Today, on the one hand, can be considered the day when the work on organizing the Duma is completed. On the organization of its structural divisions and committees,” Volodin emphasized.

He added that parliamentarians are awaiting a report on budget execution in 2025.

Earlier it became known that the State Duma approved Admiral, Chief of the Main Staff of the Navy (Navy) Vladimir Kasatonov for the post of Chairman of the Defense Committee. Before this, it was headed by Colonel General Andrei Kartapolov.
