[Reporter Ni Wanjun/Report from Taipei] Wei Quanlong defeated CITIC Brothers with 4 wins and 2 losses in the Taiwan Competition today and won the 6th championship in team history. Team leader Ding Zhongwei thanked head coach Ye Junzhang for his efforts. "We still hope that he can lead our team to the next level and he will continue to be the head coach next year."

In his playing career, Ye Junzhang has won 6 championships with Weiquan, Xingnong Niu and Brother Xiang. After he became the head coach, he led the Italian Rhinos to win the championship in 2016. In 2023, he led the Weiquan Dragons, who returned to the secondary school, to win the fifth championship in team history. Today, he once again led the Dragons to win the championship. It is not only the Dragons' 6th championship, but also his personal 9th championship.

Ding Zhongwei admitted that he has not specifically negotiated a contract with Mr. Ye yet, but he emphasized, "We always hope to build a competitive team. This is our consensus. Mr. Ye is not only the head coach, but also contributes a lot to the team in other aspects."

Ding Zhongwei pointed out that in fact, Mr. Ye's contract is not only for this year, but also has been renewed one after another. "He is still in the contract, which is a multi-year contract. It depends on the situation. If there is a contract with similar options, he will be there next year."

Ye Junzhang has served as the head coach of the Dragons since 2019 and won the championship in 2023 and this year. Ding Zhongwei said that he has been exchanging contracts with Mr. Ye for many years, and the current contract is for multiple years and will continue.
