On this day, Floor Leader Jeong pointed out on Facebook, "Above all, the responsibility for the delay in the appointment of former Supreme Court Justice Roh Tae-ak's successor for half a year lies not with Chief Justice Cho, but with President Lee, who has forced the Chief Justice to recommend Chief Justice Kim Min-ki to the Supreme Court."

He said, "President Lee has violated the Supreme Court Chief Justice's right to recommend and committed an unconstitutional action that destroys the separation of powers in that he has not only made a request for re-nomination that has no basis in the Constitution, but has also unreasonably forced him to nominate a judge of his choice over the past six months," and demanded, "There is only one way to resolve the vacuum in the Supreme Court. A motion to appoint Supreme Court Justice Son Bong-ki must be submitted to the National Assembly as soon as possible."

He also pointed out, "On October 2nd, the Prosecutor's Office will be disbanded and a new criminal justice system will be launched. If this continues, the heads of the four major agencies, including the Minister of Justice, the Commissioner General of the National Police, the Director of the Serious Crimes Investigation Office (Serious Crimes Investigation Office), and the Director of the Public Prosecution Service, will all leave vacant positions. Does the President who brought about this absurd situation have the right to talk about the vacancy in the Supreme Court?"

He said, “What is even more absurd is that even after announcing the nomination of the candidate for the head of the Central Investigation Agency, the confirmation hearing request has not been sent to the National Assembly for more than two weeks. President Lee must decide whether to give up or push forward with the appointment of candidate Kim Ji-yong in accordance with the wishes of (Gyeonggi Province) Governor Choo Mi-ae and the hardliners of the ruling party. It is the people who suffer while the president cowardly hesitates between the views of the hardliners and the pride of the appointing authority.”
