American leader Donald Trump said that he had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The head of the White House revealed the details of the conversation on his social network Truth Social.

The US President characterized the dialogue with his Russian colleague positively. According to Trump, during the negotiations an agreement was reached on the supply of diesel fuel from Russia to the American and world markets.

As the American leader explained, Russia will supply another 500 thousand tons in November and a million “immediately after that.” This deal will lower diesel prices for Americans and the world, Trump said.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin noted that the Russian side confirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the American and world markets. “I am confident that this will have a positive impact on the entire global economy,” the statement said.

As Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with TASS, Russia may increase exports of diesel fuel in November and December as repair work at oil refineries is completed. According to him, the Russian side positively assesses the actions of the United States aimed at stabilizing the global energy market and restoring normal trade in energy resources.

The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the special representative of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, called the telephone conversation between the heads of the superpowers very successful. According to him, energy and economic cooperation between Moscow and Washington will continue and will benefit global markets and the whole world.

The US Department of the Treasury has already temporarily authorized transactions related to the sale, delivery, unloading and import of diesel fuel of Russian origin. The corresponding license is published on the website of the American department.

According to the document, the permit is valid until 00:01 April 7, 2027, US Eastern Daylight Time. It also applies to imports of Russian diesel directly into the United States. In September of this year, it became known that diesel prices in the United States had risen to another maximum. This rise was the highest since mid-2022.

The superpowers are discussing several possible projects in the economic sphere that could be beneficial to both parties, as stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

According to the Kremlin representative, we are talking about a number of potential initiatives that provide mutual benefit for Moscow and Washington. Economic cooperation remains one of the topics of contacts between the two countries, Peskov noted.
