U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll recently submitted his resignation, officially bringing the internal conflicts at the top of the Pentagon to the surface. Citing people familiar with the matter, the Washington Post reported that when Driscoe resigned from President Trump, he bluntly stated that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had excessively interfered with military personnel and military modernization plans, causing serious damage to the Army.

Reports pointed out that despite Trump's attempts to comfort him until after the midterm elections to show support for the official who has a close relationship with Vice President J.D. Vance, Driscoll decided to officially leave his post on the 3rd. It is expected that he may join Vance's potential 2028 presidential campaign in the future.
