Vladimir Putin announced an increase in trade turnover between Russia and Vietnam

In 2025, trade between Russia and Vietnam increased by almost six percent. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

As for the growth rate of mutual trade in the first six months of 2026, they, according to the president, almost doubled.

Earlier, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said that trade turnover between the states of the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam has doubled in ten years. This year the growth has reached 14 percent. Russia is increasing supplies of food, metals and fertilizers to Vietnam. Vietnamese businessmen are partial to investing in the Russian agro-industrial sector and food production.
