In the Volgograd region, a 50-year-old resident of the city of Volzhsky became a defendant in a criminal case to justify the mass murder of people. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

According to investigators, the accused is an adherent of neo-Nazi ideology. In one of the messengers, he posted comments in which he justified the massacre of people in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, committed by an ultra-right activist in 2019. He also justified the crime committed by neo-Nazi Andreas Breivik in Norway in 2011.

The defendant was detained at his place of work and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place.

The terrorist attack in two mosques, in the cities of Christchurch and Linwood, on March 15, 2019, was carried out by Australian Brenton Tarrant. He filmed what was happening with an action camera and broadcast it online. As a result of the shooting, 50 people were killed and more than 40 were injured. The day before the tragedy, the terrorist published a 37-page manifesto entitled “The Great Replacement.”
