Kirill Dmitriev commented on the victory of the AfD in the elections in Saxony-Anhalt with irony towards Merz

The special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, on his page on the social network X, commented on the results of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the elections and spoke ironically about the current Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Dmitriev called the AfD's victory historic and noted that it was a humiliation for the arrogance, narrow-mindedness, warmongering and hypocrisy of the current German ruling coalition.

“The Germans have spoken, and Germany has awakened. The humiliated Merz has just become a star,” Dmitriev wrote with irony.

According to exit polls commissioned by the television channels ARD and ZDF, the AfD party confidently wins the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt with 44.5 percent of the votes.
