This event was hosted by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and was jointly coordinated by the cultural and tourism departments of the nine provinces (districts) along the Yellow River. The entire process lasted 16 days. The convoy set off from the Yellow River Estuary Ecological Tourism Zone in Dongying, Shandong Province, and traced more than 5,400 kilometers westward, passing through the nine provinces and districts along the Yellow River in turn, and running through the complete landscape belt of the Yellow River from the sea to the source.

The line connects diverse landscapes such as the intersection of yellow and blue at the mouth of the Yellow River, the mountains and rivers of Shanxi-Shaanxi gorges, the oasis scenery of the fortress, and the sources of the three rivers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It includes high-quality resources such as Yellow River ecology, history and culture, folk customs, and red cultural tourism. It shows the colorful natural scenery and rich and long-lasting cultural heritage of the Yellow River Basin, creating a golden self-driving tourism corridor that runs through the entire Yellow River and covers diverse business types.

At the closing ceremony of the event, the traceability of the Yellow River - "Dahe No. 1" self-driving tour route was released, and the route points, travel guide, supporting services, special business formats, etc. were systematically sorted out to provide practical travel guidance for tourists to trace the source of the Yellow River by themselves.

It is reported that since the launch of the event, online and offline popularity has continued to rise, attracting a large number of car enthusiasts to immersively trace the source of the mother river and understand the Yellow River culture, effectively enhancing the influence of the Yellow River-themed self-driving cultural tourism brand.

The activities are synchronized with the exhibition and sales of intangible cultural heritage, the promotion of specialty agricultural products, and the diversion of cultural tourism consumption along the Yellow River, effectively activating the cultural tourism consumer market along the Yellow River and driving the improvement and upgrading of rural tourism, self-driving leisure, folk experience and other industries along the route.
