From the Hainan Science and Technology Museum's free open services that attracted 1.28 million visitors, to the 3.1 million benefit groups of the mobile science and technology museum tours and science popularization caravans that "entered campuses, villages, and communities", to the cumulative audience of 10 million key science popularization activities... Behind each number is the vast science popularization stage that Hainan has set up for young people.

Wu Zhonghai introduced that in recent years, the Hainan Science and Technology Association has helped to continuously and steadily improve the scientific quality level of teenagers in the province by carrying out various science popularization and youth science and technology education activities. Hainan High School has carefully created high-quality events such as the Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, the Five Subject Competitions for Middle School Students, and the Drone Competition, which have attracted a total of 700,000 primary and secondary school students to actively participate. A group of Hainan students have achieved good results in various types of science and technology innovation competitions at all levels.
Wu Zhonghai said that the next step will be to focus on the overall deployment of the Hainan Free Trade Port construction, continuously enrich science popularization education resources, organize and carry out diversified and immersive science popularization and youth science and technology education activities, and help further improve the scientific quality level of teenagers.
In terms of the policy system, we will accelerate the promulgation of the "Regulations on the Popularization of Science and Technology in Hainan Province" to provide a solid legal guarantee for science popularization work; formulate the "Hainan Province National Science Literacy Action Plan Implementation Plan (2026-2030)" to systematically plan key actions such as improving the scientific quality of young people.
In terms of building a global science popularization position, we operate the Hainan Science and Technology Museum with high standards and promote the construction of physical science and technology museums in cities and counties; revise the "Hainan Province Science Popularization Venue Recognition and Management Measures" to identify a number of provincial science popularization venues and promote the opening of venue resources to the public; coordinate the construction of the Spark Science and Technology Museum, guide universities and science and technology enterprises to build, manage and use the Spark Science and Technology Museum well, and improve the efficiency of science popularization services.
At the same time, the Hainan Science and Technology Association will carefully organize brand activities such as Science and Technology Activity Month, National Science Popularization Month, grassroots science popularization tours for thousands of college students, and the "Haike Cup" debate competition; carry out special activities such as science popularization of academicians and experts on campus and "Science First Lesson" to bring cutting-edge scientific knowledge, scientific thinking, and scientist spirit to campuses and classrooms; create scientist-spirit-themed micro-movies, science master plays, stage plays, songs and other promotional works, organize scientist spirit mobile exhibition tours, and vigorously promote the scientist spirit.
In addition, we organize young people to go to key universities in and outside the province and continue to carry out university science camp activities; we implement a middle school student talent program to select middle school students with excellent academic performance, academic expertise, and innovative potential to participate in scientific research, academic seminars and scientific research practices under the guidance of university tutors; we insist on promoting learning and innovation through competitions, and organize high-quality science and technology events.
In terms of building a science and technology innovation exchange platform, we implement a science and technology internship program for college students to provide a platform for scientific research and industrial practice for young students; hold an innovation competition for graduate students in science and technology colleges; hold a Haizhi youth science and technology volunteer service winter camp to deepen the exchange of young science and technology talents at home and abroad; carry out national conditions training activities for young science and technology talents; implement a special program for doctoral students in the Youth Talent Support Project to attract young talents to come to Qiong to carry out scientific research practice.
