Lotte Peach Monkeys came back from behind to defeat the Taiwan Steel Eagles 7:5, continuing their title hopes in the second half of the season

Before today's game, as long as Lotte Peach Monkey lost to the Taiwan Steel Eagles and CITIC Brothers defeated the Fubon Titans, CITIC would win the championship in the second half of the season. Lotte Momomon, which was once trailing by 4 points, showed resilience and scored 6 points in 7 games to stage a great comeback, defeating Taipei Steel 7:5 in the end.

With the possibility of being eliminated in the second half of the season if they lose, Lotte Momomon head coach Zeng Haoju admitted that it is inevitable to receive information about the situation in another place during the game. However, Mr. Zeng also said: "But we won't focus too much on that. After all, we still have to win first. When we fall behind, we don't give up. We still remind each other to do what we should do first, and try to seize the opportunity when we have the opportunity."

Mr. Zeng said frankly: "Of course everyone cares about it, and everyone knows that there are not many games left. Show your abilities, prepare well with a winning mentality, and every player will try his best."

Lotte's starting left-hander Lin Ziwei pitched 6.1 innings, allowing 8 hits and 4 runs. Mr. Zeng said: "Ziwei pitched steadily in the first five innings. Some unlucky hits did not affect his overall performance. Originally, I considered switching pitches in the sixth inning. He helped save bullpen power and pitched one more inning."
