Roskomnadzor blocked 7.6 thousand phishing resources and sites with malware in May

MOSCOW, June 3 - RIA Novosti. Roskomnadzor blocked more than 7 thousand phishing resources and 457 sites with malware, the department said.

“In May 2026, specialists from the Public Communications Network Monitoring and Management Center blocked 7,191 phishing resources and 457 sites that distributed malicious software,” Roskomnadzor said in a statement.

In addition, its specialists repelled 1.3 thousand DDoS attacks against the systems of protected government entities, the financial sector and telecom operators. And most often, attacks were carried out from IP addresses registered in Brazil, the USA, India, France, and Germany, the agency clarifies.

The majority of attacks affected the telecommunications industry, and the largest number of incidents were recorded in the Central Federal District.
