A citizen of Russia and Canada, Zyuzev was convicted of treason and sentenced to seven years in prison.

Zyuzev developed and began to implement a project against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia.

To implement the project, Zyuzev received more than 2 million euros from 12 foreign organizations whose activities were recognized as undesirable in Russia.

MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti. Convicted of treason, Zyuzev received more than 2 million euros from 12 undesirable European organizations for a project directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia, the FSB Central Election Commission reported on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court of the Komi Republic convicted Russian and Canadian citizen Zyuzev for treason. He was sentenced to imprisonment for seven years in a maximum security correctional colony with restriction of freedom for a period of one year.

The FSB report states that Zyuzev in February 2022 developed and began implementing a project against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia. The project included work in 12 areas, including training abroad for leaders of national liberation movements of small peoples of the Russian Federation, dissemination of extremist materials, collection and analysis of information on the instructions of government bodies and think tanks of the European Union.

“For the implementation of the project, Zyuzev received more than 2 million euros from 12 foreign organizations, including INNO “Fund named after. H. Seidel"*, "Prague Center for Civil Society Development"*, "German Society for Foreign Policy Research"* (Germany), "Swedish Institute"*, "Ayrex Europe"* (France), "Chatham House"*, "Black Sea Foundation for Regional Cooperation"* (Great Britain)," the message says.

It is noted that the activities of these organizations are recognized as undesirable on the territory of Russia.
