New Taipei City Mayor Hou Youyi led the city government team and smart manufacturers to Chicago, the United States, to participate in the "2026 North American Automation Technology Exhibition" and held a dinner. The New Taipei City delegation had face-to-face exchanges with the U.S. Department of Commerce, AIT, Illinois and Chicago political dignitaries, overseas Chinese representatives and industry partners, hoping to deepen industrial connections between Taiwan and the United States and assist New Taipei companies to expand the North American market.
Hou Youyi said that Chicago has long been an important city for the development of manufacturing, logistics and supply chain in the United States, and an important base for industrial innovation and industrial transformation. In the face of global supply chain restructuring and the rapid development of AI and smart manufacturing, Taiwan and the United States have a good complementary foundation in innovation, technology and industrial cooperation.
Hou Youyi pointed out that New Taipei City is an important manufacturing and technology city in Taiwan. It has a complete information and communication industry foundation and has formed industrial clusters such as electronics, communications, and smart manufacturing, with more than 320,000 registered companies. The 20 New Taipei companies that accompanied the delegation to the United States this time not only showcased their technologies and products, but also looked forward to establishing long-term, stable and mutually trusting cooperative relationships with American partners to jointly create a more resilient and efficient supply chain cooperation model.
The New Taipei City Government stated that this time New Taipei City led a delegation to the United States to participate in the North American Automation Technology Exhibition. In addition to helping local companies expand international business opportunities, it also connected North American smart manufacturing and automation supply chain resources through visits, visits and industrial exchanges.
