Drug operation in 75 provinces: 714 arrests

In the statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was reported that 985 kilos 777 grams of drugs and 1 million 537 thousand 667 drug pills were seized in operations against drug dealers in 75 provinces and 714 of 1297 suspects were arrested.

In the statement on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was stated that operations were carried out in 75 provinces against drug dealers by Provincial Police Departments, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Directorate and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

In the statement, "Adana, Izmir, Samsun, Antalya, Ankara, Mersin, Gaziantep, Konya, Manisa, Hatay, Eskişehir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Balıkesir, Kocaeli, Denizli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Nevşehir, Malatya, Uşak, Muğla, Aydın, Van, Elazığ, Kahramanmaraş, Aksaray, Sivas, Kayseri, Rize, Düzce, Edirne, Sinop, Trabzon, Kütahya, Amasya, Çanakkale, Kırıkkale, Mardin, Siirt, Ordu, Bingöl, Çankırı, Çorum, Erzincan, Karaman, Kilis, Tokat, Adıyaman, Ağrı, Bitlis, Yalova, Yozgat, Zonguldak, Erzurum, Batman, Kırklareli, Artvin, Burdur, "Operations were carried out in Giresun, Muş, Osmaniye, Şırnak, Bolu, Iğdır, Kastamonu, Afyonkarahisar, Bayburt, Bilecik, Hakkari, Karabük, Kırşehir and Niğde with the participation of 1,945 teams, 4,863 personnel, 18 aircraft and 45 narcotic detection dogs."

It was noted that 985 kilograms, 777 grams of narcotic substance and 1 million 537 thousand 667 pieces of narcotic pills were seized as a result of the operations, and it was stated that "1,297 suspects were caught during the operations. 714 of the suspects were arrested, 179 of them were subject to judicial control provisions.
