MOSCOW, May 22 - RIA Novosti. Cold and high air humidity can contribute to longer survival of hantaviruses in the external environment, according to a scientific review by Rospotrebnadzor, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.

The paper focuses on the circulation of hantavirus infection in the New World, with particular emphasis on Andes hantavirus. The review was prepared by the reference center for monitoring hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome on the basis of the Stavropol Research Anti-Plague Institute of Rospotrebnadzor.

Thus, the document states that increasing the level of air humidity can contribute to longer survival of hantaviruses in the external environment, outside the body of the virus carrier or its carrier.
