The Shcherbinsky court of Moscow recognized the rights of the widow of Yuri Shatunov to the songs of the group “Tender May”, as well as to the products and images, refusing to transfer the rights to producer Yuri Razin, the press service of the Moscow City Court told RIA Novosti.

After the singer’s death in 2022, Shatunova owns the rights to the musical works of “Tender May,” received by Shatunov in 2019 from the songwriter and creator of the group, Sergei Kuznetsov. However, Razin’s company claimed streaming payments.

“The claims of Svetlana Georgievna Shatunova, acting in the interests of minors, against Andrey Aleksandrovich Razin to recognize the transaction as void and to recognize as void the agreement dated September 14, 2013 on the transfer of exclusive rights to use personal data, copyright and exclusive related rights to products, images and works, rights of claim concluded between Yuri Vasilievich Shatunov and Razin Andrei Alexandrovich,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

The Shcherbinsky District Court made its decision on October 9. The lawyer of the artist’s widow, Oleg Sitnikov, explained to RIA Novosti that it concerns the refusal of royalties from the use of songs to Razin’s companies registered in the Russian Federation.

“We are satisfied with the decision, but the other side said that it would file a complaint,” the lawyer added.
