A criminal case regarding the provision of unsafe services was opened after a school bus carrying 12 children overturned in the Khabarovsk Territory, reports the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region and the Jewish Autonomous Region.

On Thursday, the state traffic inspectorate of the Khabarovsk Territory reported that a bus carrying 12 children and three teachers overturned in the Lazo area of ​​the Khabarovsk Territory. Initially, there were no casualties.

“The investigative department... in connection with the overturning of a school bus, opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers),” the message says.

According to the head of the Lazo district, Alexander Kokh, the bus was carrying students from a school in the village of Mukhen, who were going to the competition. He clarified that there were 12 students and two accompanying persons in the cabin. The head of the district added that one child received bruises, was examined at a medical facility and sent home.

Koch drew attention to the fact that before leaving on the route, the bus underwent pre-trip technical control and was found to be technically sound.
