Pingtung Xiaoliuqiu resumes sailing after four days of suspension, the first ship is fully loaded with people’s supplies

Affected by southwesterly winds and tropical depressions, sailings to Liuqiu Township in Pingtung were suspended for four days due to weather conditions. Materials on the island were almost exhausted. However, sailing resumed today. The pier was full of people early in the morning, but except for tourists, it was all goods.

Shipping operators said that the Port Bureau has its own regulations on the transportation of civilian supplies, so the maximum amount of transportation is carried out within the regulations, hoping to replenish the supplies on the island as soon as possible.

In addition, there are also many folks who are traveling abroad because they are unable to return to their hometowns. Today, after learning that the ship was sailing, they immediately rode their bicycles to the pier to queue up. The queue of cars at the pier was also overwhelming, and they had to wait for the next boat to complete the delivery.
