The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the taking under control of the village of Dolzhanka in the Kharkov region

Units of the North group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces have improved the tactical situation in the Kharkov direction and are moving forward, destroying the defenses and supplies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

Units of the “North”, as a result of decisive actions, took control of the settlement of Dolzhanka, Kharkov region.

“Having carried out fire strikes and improved the tactical situation in the Kharkov direction, units of the North group of forces continue to move forward, destroying the defensive lines and supply routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants,” the report says.

In addition, when clearing the village, Russian military personnel used artillery fire and UAV strikes to dislodge Ukrainian nationalists from their strongholds.

“After the fire defeat, the Ukrainian Armed Forces units suffered significant losses and were forced to leave the settlement, and some of the Ukrainian fighters surrendered,” the Russian Defense Ministry added.

The military department emphasized that such decisive actions by the Russian army force the enemy to abandon their positions and retreat further and further from the Russian state border.

Units of the North group of forces, simultaneously advancing in several directions, continue to create a security zone in the Sumy and Kharkov regions.
