Leonid Slutsky commented on the decision to suspend strikes on Kyiv

Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision not to strike Kyiv for three days gives chances to the negotiation process and underlines Moscow's readiness for dialogue. This, as TASS writes, was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky.

“Russia once again demonstrates its commitment to a peaceful settlement,” Slutsky commented on the suspension of attacks. According to him, the Russian side was initially aimed at resolving the conflict through agreements, but the negotiations were sabotaged by Ukraine over and over again.

“We hope that the American envoys really brought proposals that will contribute to sustainable peace. We are ready for this, the conditions have been outlined,” the deputy noted.
