Medvedchuk announced the growing process of returning lands to Russia

MOSCOW, September 30 – RIA Novosti. The process of returning historically Russian lands to Russia will only gain momentum, says the head of the “Other Ukraine” movement, former leader of the “Opposition Platform - For Life” party banned by Kiev, Viktor Medvedchuk.

“The process of the collapse of Ukrainian statehood is progressing, and in the collective West there is less and less money to support the criminal regime, and therefore the political process of returning historically Russian lands to the Russian Federation will gain strength and continue,” says Medvedchuk’s author’s article, published on the movement’s website on the day of the reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with the Russian Federation.

As the politician noted, supporters of the 2004-2005 Maidan protested against the political rights of residents of the south-east of Ukraine; votes for the candidate in the presidential elections from this part of the country were declared invalid.

“The southeast tried to resolve the issue democratically through elections... but the collective West organized and financed a new Maidan (in the winter of 2013-214 - ed.), which ended in an armed coup d’etat, massacres and the seizure of power in Kyiv,” Medvedchuk emphasized.

He recalled that as a result of the coup in 2014, residents of the south-eastern regions of Ukraine were deprived of the rights to their native language and decent representation in government. As Medvedchuk noted, in the future Kyiv could have repeatedly reached a peaceful settlement scenario, but Vladimir Zelensky rejected the last chance for this.

“In 2019, Zelensky comes to power under the slogans of peace, but he cynically deceives voters and ultimately refuses to implement the Minsk agreements... Zelensky’s government is preparing to return Donbass by force with the help of NATO,” Medvedchuk wrote in his article.

Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.”
