Minister of Education Zheng Yingyao and others visited Miaoli County today (22nd) to visit the educational construction and sports ground facilities of five elementary and middle schools and county high schools, and visited educational venues such as campuses, senior learning centers, and non-profit kindergartens. In his speech, Deputy County Mayor Lai Xiangling expressed the hope that National Yangming Jiaotong University Miaoli Campus District, the Ministry of Education can approve it as soon as possible, allowing the Miaoli County Government to promote follow-up supporting facilities as soon as possible. In this regard, Zheng Yingyao expressed optimism about the success, and also reminded Yangming Jiaotong University sincerely that it already has 8 campuses, hoping to pay attention to the energy of the entire school, and must ensure and commit to the educational quality of the Miaoli campus.

National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University signed a cooperation agreement with the Miaoli County Government to establish the "Miaoli Campus" at the planned site of Xingang High School in the Houlong High-Speed ​​Railway Park. Yangming Jiaotong University has also held a school meeting to discuss the planning and sent a letter to the Ministry of Education in June. The Miaoli campus will plan to introduce resources such as accelerator research and development and radiation medicine to build an "accelerator industry-university incubation center."

In response to Lai Xiangling's suggestion, Zheng Yingyao said that Yangming Jiaotong University would assist Miaoli with post-bachelor's or master's degree in-service classes, as well as semiconductor technology industry-related studies, and he was optimistic about its success. However, he would like to remind the principal of Yangming Jiaotong University to pay more attention to the school's overall energy, because Yangming Jiaotong University already has eight campuses, and adding the ninth campus in Miaoli, will the school's teachers jump up? He believes that it is easier to write a check, but Yangming Jiaotong University must be committed to how to ensure quality.

Zheng Yingyao pointed out that during his tenure as Minister of Education, he would not be able to pass this test if he had no way to truly provide good educational quality at all levels of education; and any university and education administrator must demonstrate a commitment to education in addition to their majors. Yangming Jiaotong University must responsibly bring these professional teachers to Miaoli, and must ensure and promise the quality of education in the future. This is what he cares about most.
