The first statement of Arif Sefa Özdemir, who killed eight people in Afyonkarahisar, has been revealed. The murder suspect claimed that he killed three people because of a dispute over buying a combine harvester and the other five people to steal their vehicles.

Özdemir also included blood-curdling details in his statement. It was claimed that the incident in which eight people were killed started due to a fight over a combine harvester.

In his first statement, Arif Sefa Özdemir explained that he bought a combine harvester from Ahmet Uzel for 40 thousand Euros last year and started working around Manisa and Izmir with this combine harvester. However, he stated that the combine harvester burned down while he was working in the field in Izmir, and that there was a disagreement between him and Uzel after this incident.

According to Özdemir's statement, Uzel met with him last week and asked for the remaining 11 thousand Euros from the combine harvester. Özdemir said that his debt was 4 thousand Euros and that he would pay it in a short time. It was claimed that the dispute between the parties regarding the amount of the debt escalated and that swearing and threats were exchanged over the phone.

The suspect, who stated in his statement that he was a combine harvester operator, stated that he had been drinking heavily since the morning hours, put his rifle and a bucket full of cartridges in his vehicle and went to the meeting place.

Explaining the beginning of the massacre, the suspect said that he bought a combine harvester on credit and that there was hostility between them due to the burned combine harvester and the remaining debt.

The murder suspect, who stated that he lured the people to the rural area of ​​Ayazini village after meeting at the entrance of Gazlıgöl, claimed that he made the decision to commit the murders there. "Let's go both to get money from my father and to look after the field." Explaining that he set a trap by saying, Özdemir said:

"- I blocked them with my vehicle to prevent them from escaping. I approached the front of the vehicle and fired 2 shots, aiming at their heads to kill Numan and the person next to him. Then I shot the person behind. When I saw that he was moving, I shot him one more time and made sure he was dead."

The suspect, who also admitted that he carried out repeated attacks to change vehicles on the escape route after the first murders, said that he shot and killed Seydi Ahmet A. and Satı A. in the vehicle with plate number 35 AG 5198, which he stopped on the Kıyır village road, and stole their vehicles, on the grounds that they did not give them their vehicle and tried to take the rifle.

The suspect stated that he shot the driver of the vehicle, Ismail Ş., in the head and killed him after he saw the rifle and told him that he would call the police while he was driving the vehicle he had hijacked, and that he opened fire on a tow truck that he claimed had cornered him in the Selimiye Village area.

The suspect stated that he seriously injured Sevgi P., who did not give her car in the center of Afyonkarahisar, by shooting her in the head, and that he stopped the vehicle with teachers in the vicinity of Yukarıtandır village.

The murder suspect explained the following in his statement:

"- While I was approaching the Yukarıtandır village of İhsaniye district, I blocked the front of the black vehicle to change the vehicle. There were three women in the vehicle. The one in the front seat got out. I told the person who got out that I had killed many people and that I needed a vehicle to escape. The other two people did not get down.

- First I counted down from 10, then from 5. When I saw that they did not get off and did not put down the phone, I aimed and shot at both of them separately and killed them. "I did not harm the person who got out of the vehicle."

Arif Sefa Ö., who said that after shooting the teachers, he hijacked another vehicle by rear-ending it and then went to the Eskişehir Seyitgazi border, confessed that he hijacked the vehicle of citizens collecting mushrooms in Kırka and Taşlık neighborhoods, and then another vehicle at gunpoint.

The suspect, who stated that he tried to obtain a gun because the rifle was large, said that he found the houses of the headmen in the villages he entered, introduced himself as "inspection officer from Ankara" and "MİT personnel", and tried to buy their service pistols, but was unsuccessful.
