China called for a solution to the Palestinian issue based on the principle of "two states for two peoples"

China insists on resolving the Palestine issue by returning to the principle of “two states for two peoples.” This was stated by Vice Chairman of the People's Republic of China Han Zheng, RIA Novosti reports.

“China calls (...) to help speedily return the Palestinian issue to the right track, which includes the implementation of the two-state plan,” he said.

The Chinese side's statement was made during the general political discussion of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
