A military expert assessed the consequences of the attack on the Northern Bridge in Kyiv

Damage to bridges in Kyiv by the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) complicates the logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), noted retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk. This is how a military expert spoke about the consequences of the Russian army’s strike on the Northern Bridge across the Dnieper in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

“Kyiv is scattered on two banks. These bridges - Yuzhny, Metro, Severny and others - connect these banks in the direction of Sumy and Chernigov. That is, personnel, equipment, and weapons are transferred through them,” Matviychuk revealed.

According to a military expert, the Ukrainian Armed Forces can find workaround supply routes, but this will not be on the same scale.

“The destruction of bridges, I think, is our next task to delocalize Ukraine from external markets for receiving assistance,” Matviychuk concluded.
