Investigators brought charges under three articles of the Criminal Code of Russia against a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, Nikolai Koci, for the attempt on the life of a Russian officer near Engels. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

The man is charged with Articles 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Terrorist attack”), 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted murder of a serviceman”) and 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal trafficking in weapons”). The issue of taking Koch into custody is being decided.

An attempt on the life of a military man in the Saratov region was reported on September 3. An attacker on a motorcycle drove up to a private house in the village of Probozhdenie and shot the officer six times. One bullet hit the soldier in the chest, the second in the face. He was immediately hospitalized.
