The French national team played a draw with Italy in the Nations League match

The French national team played a draw at home with the Italian team in the match of the third round of the group stage of the Nations League football.

The League A Group 1 meeting took place on Friday at the Stade de France in Paris and ended with a score of 1:1. The French took the lead thanks to a goal from Michael Olise (55th minute). The Italians were saved from defeat by Alessandro Bastoni (68). In the 85th minute, home defender Dayo Upamecano received a red card.

World and European champion in the French national team Zinedine Zidane played his first home game as head coach of the “tricolors”. In the previous two matches under his leadership, the French defeated the teams of Turkey (1:0) and Belgium (1:0) on the road.

In a parallel match, the Belgian national team defeated the Turkish team at home with a score of 3:0 thanks to a brace from Kevin De Bruyne and a goal from Romelu Lukaku.

After three rounds, the French team is leading in Group A (7 points), followed by the teams of Belgium (6 points), Italy (4) and Turkey (0).
