Matvey Safonov nominated for the Best Goalkeeper of the Year award

Paris Saint-Germain and Russia goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who was nominated for the UEFA France Football Goalkeeper of the Year award on Tuesday, said the achievement was the result of his hard work all year.

The ceremony will take place on October 26 in London. In the 2025/26 season, Safonov played 31 matches, in 12 of which he kept the goal intact, won the Champions League, won the French Championship, won the Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

“The result of hard work this year,” Safonov wrote on the Telegram channel, attaching a photo of his nomination for the award.
