Brief retelling from RIA II
Information and environmental security expert Ilya Rybalchenko believes that using AI agents to clear computer memory could jeopardize the confidentiality of personal files.
According to the expert, the decision to delete files should remain with the user, and not with artificial intelligence.
A model’s access to files and its training on this data are not the same thing, and the transfer of data to developer servers depends on the settings of a particular service.
MOSCOW, October 5 - RIA Novosti. Using artificial intelligence agents to clear computer memory can be dangerous for privacy, as neural networks gain access to personal files, said information and environmental security expert Ilya Rybalchenko.
“The use of AI agents to clear computer memory can jeopardize confidentiality, since neural networks gain access to personal files for analysis. But their transfer to developer servers depends on the settings of a particular service,” writes the RIAMO information portal with reference to Rybalchenko.
According to the expert, the process of cleaning a disk from unnecessary files should not be structured in such a way that artificial intelligence itself selects files and permanently deletes them. The decision should be left to the user: first, the agent shows a list of files and their analysis, Rybalchenko explained. Moreover, it is not worth deleting them completely - it is better to move them to the trash, the expert added. He also noted that accessing files to a model and training it on that data are not the same thing.

Russia is creating an intelligent system for data analysis, similar to Palantir’s Maven Smart System, said Vadim Kozyulin, chief researcher at the MGIMO Diplomatic Academy.

The European Union may deploy its own network of spy satellites to provide better data coverage, European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius said.

The creation of an organization to regulate AI similar to the IAEA is unlikely due to the difficulties of verification, the secrecy of developments and dual-use technologies, expert Vadim Kozyulin believes.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told Politico that the benefits of developing artificial intelligence fully justify the risks involved, and the world must come to terms with the possible negative consequences.
