[Special Correspondent Nian Miaoyun/Reporting from Nagoya] Taiwanese skateboarding star Ku Yongyan competed in the men's skateboard park final of the Asian Games in Nagoya today. He withstood the pressure of making mistakes in the first three runs and raised the difficulty level in the last run, scoring a career-high 87.33 points. He rose from fifth place to second place and reversed course to win the silver medal. Overcoming the challenge of injuries, Ku Yongyan set a record as the youngest person in Taiwan's history to win a medal in the Asian Games at the age of 12.

Gu Yongyan made mistakes in the first three rounds of today's finals, but fortunately, he scored 70.5 points in the first round and ranked fifth, successfully winning the "golden round" opportunity. It is worth mentioning that in February this year, Gu Yongyan interrupted his training due to a fracture of the humerus in his left arm and almost missed the opportunity to qualify for the Asian Games. However, he returned to the skateboard after a three-month rest and finally successfully obtained an Asian Games ticket. Now he has won a silver medal and has gained a lot. He also wants to move towards the Olympics in the future.

Earlier, Lin Yifan won the silver medal in skateboarding at the age of 14, setting the record for the youngest Taiwan delegation to win a medal. However, within half a day, Ku Yongyan won the medal again at the age of 12 and the first year in the country, setting a new record.
